Epilex Chrono 500 mg Tablet is an antiepileptic class of medication, indicated for the treatment of epilepsy, manic episodes associated with bipolar disorder, and prophylaxis of migraine headache.

Each film-coated controlled release Epilex Chrono 500 mg Tablet contains Sodium Valproate 333 mg and Valproic Acid 145 mg (Both together corresponds to Sodium Valproate 500 mg).

Sodium Valproate is an antiepileptic class of medicines. It controls seizures or fits by stabilizing excessive electrical activity in the brain. It is thought to achieve this in two ways: by increasing the activity of a natural 'nerve-calming' agent in the brain and preventing electrical signals from building up in nerve cells in the brain.
