About F-Tin 20 mg Tablet:

F-Tin 20 mg tablet is an antidepressant medication used to treat various depression and anxiety disorders. Each film coated F-Tin 20 mg tablet contains Fluoxetine Hydrochloride equivalent to Fluoxetine 20 mg.

Fluoxetine is a selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor (SSRI) and exerts its therapeutic effect by inhibiting the presynaptic reuptake of the neurotransmitter serotonin. As a result, levels of 5-hydroxytryptamine (5-HT) are increased in various parts of the brain. Fluoxetine interacts to a degree with the 5-HT2C receptor and it has been suggested that through this mechanism, it is able to increase noradrenaline and dopamine levels in the prefrontal cortex.

Use of F-Tin 20 mg Tablet:

F-Tin 20 mg tablet is prescribed for treatment of various types of depression and anxiety disorders, such as:

• Major depressive disorder

• Obsessive-compulsive disorder

• Bulimia nervosa

• Panic disorder with or without agoraphobia

• Premenstrual dysphoric disorder

Usage direction of F-Tin 20 mg Tablet:

• F-Tin 20 mg tablet should be taken orally.

• F-Tin 20 mg tablet should be swallowed whole with help of water.

• F-Tin 20 mg tablet is not to be chewed or crushed.

• Do not discontinue without physician’s advice.

• Do not consume more than prescribed quantity.
