*About Lobate S Ointment:

Lobate S Ointment is a combination medication, indicated for relieving various skin disorders.

Lobate S Ointment contains Clobetasol Propionate 0.05% w/w, Salicylic Acid 3.0% w/w, Urea 10.0% w/w, Lactic Acid 3.0% w/w, and Sodium Lactate Solution equivalent to Lactic Acid 2.0% w/w.

Clobetasol belongs to a class of steroid medicines. It exerts antipruritic and anti-inflammatory activity by inhibiting the production, release, and activity of certain chemicals (inflammatory mediators) in the body.

Salicylic Acid is a keratolytic (peeling agent) agent. It acts by breaking down the outer layer (epidermis) and moisturizing the skin by loosening scales on the skin.

Urea is a potent emollient and keratolytic agent. It moisturizes the skin by softening the substances called keratin on the outer layer of the skin and helps to keep the skin hydrated. It also increases skin penetration and the overall clinical benefit of other drugs such as steroids.

Lactic acid is an emollient and keratolytic agent respectively. It lubricates and moisturizes the skin, thereby, relieving the dryness and itchiness of the skin.
