* About Prothiaden 50 mg Tablet:

Prothiaden 50 mg tablet is a tricyclic antidepressant (TCA) used in the treatment of depressive illness.

Each film-coated Prothiaden 50 mg tablet contains Dosulepin Hydrochloride 50 mg.

Dosulepin Hydrochloride is a TCA (tricyclic antidepressants drug) which inhibits norepinephrine and 5-hydroxytryptamine uptake from the nerve endings thereby increases availability at central norepinephrine synapses. It has anticholinergic, antihistamine and central sedative properties.
