Forglyn Inhaler is used for the management of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD).

Each Actuation delivers Glycopyrrolate 9 mcg, Formoterol Fumarate Dihydrate equivalent to Formoterol Fumarate 4.8 mcg suspended in inert propellant q.s.

Glycopyrrolate is a synthetic quaternary ammonium antimuscarinic. It competitively and reversibly blocks the action of acetylcholine on structures innervated by postganglionic cholinergic nerves and on smooth muscles that respond to acetylcholine.

Formoterol is a relatively selective long-acting agonist of beta2-adrenergic receptors (found predominantly in bronchial smooth muscle), although it does carry some degree of activity at beta1 and beta3 receptors. Formoterol stimulates the beta -2 receptor, causing bronchodilation by relaxing the smooth muscle in the airway
